Apple Pie

Ingredients for the crust/batter


  • 3 medium apples (peeled and cored — weigh about 300 g after peeling)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • A pinch of salt


Optional topping
  • Sugar and cinnamon, to taste
  • A few thin apple slices for decoration


🥧 Directions


  1. Blend the wet ingredients
  2. In a blender, add the chopped apples, sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Combine with the dry ingredients
  5. In a bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Pour the blended mixture over the dry ingredients and gently mix until combined.
  7. Assemble the pie
  8. Transfer the batter to a greased baking pan.
  9. If you like, place thin apple slices on top and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  10. Bake
  11. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (350 °F) for about 35–45 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  12. Finish and serve
  13. Let it cool slightly before removing from the pan.
  14. Serve on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
